I just got what seems to be 4 10" JL (older versions) w6's.

What i need too know is the following. ANY help would be Great!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I want info. on updating the connection points. These subs

have the old style +/- prongs. I want too remove them

and update too the push on plug style, as used on the newer

subs. Any suggestions on doing, this along with a link

too a upgrade kit would be HUGE! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif

How do i test the subs to make sure the voice coils are not blown?

They are duel voice coils, so would it be easy too tell if the voice coils work?

I plan on using only 3 of the 4 subs. I read the total load

on a amp would be 1.5 Ohm.s Suggest a amp please

that gives THE BEST RMS POWER for the money.

Im NOT a name buying type of person. I want a amp

thats bullet proof, makes better then its rated RMS power,

(not some hyped RMS that everyone knows as bullshit)

And will not under/over run the 3 W6's

Im thinking i want two 12's for car and not the 4 w6's

So i'm going too list them for sale, and see what i can get

for them, and apply money too the 12's.

Thanks for the great site, and your help. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

Anyone else with answers to the other questions?????? Thxs

If the w6's you have are the originals, they will be dual 6ohm coils, using 3 of the four wired in a series parallel configuration will yield you a 4 ohm load, a parallel configuration will give you a 1 ohm load. if theye are the newer generation w6's they will be dual 4 ohm coils, at which 3 dual 4's wired in a series parallel configuration will give you a 2.8 ohm load, a parallel series configuration will give you a 6 ohm load. As far as which amp you should use...research it. what best fits in your budget that will work at the impedance you are working with? do you have the charging system to run said amp? blah blah blah.. research baby, research!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
