new HU need a little suggestions.

im getting a new HU asap and i cant decide what to get, its basically between the pioneer Deh-p710bt, DEH-P800PRS or the alpine 9886/9887

aside from price as that isnt a huge factor, i need something with good sq,good ipod hook up, what eq options are available on the 9887 with out using the imprint, does the imprint basically allow you to use the mic and auto set everything or what? any help is appreciated as i cannot make up my mind on what one to get it always changes:crap:

yes but where im gettting the hu from doesnt carry eclipse, warranty would be a nice thing on a hu and buying online and being in canada isnt a help for warranty

The 9886 is basically a 2 band parametric EQ without IMPRINT. The 9887 should still be a nifty little HU without it though. 5 band parametric/7 band graphic, active, and time alignment. Someone who has one pls confirm, I believe you should still be able to make use of these features manually without IMPRINT.

What IMPRINT adds to the 9887 is the auto-tune and the 500-plus bands of equalization. In the 9886 you need it to to unlock the 5 and 7 band EQ capabilities. In the 9887 you shouldn't. The product descriptions are pretty good on Alpine's website and you can get the owners' manual for these products there, you should be able to confirm these things for sure.

went to the shop today and he said he can basically get me any brand i wanted so now i have too many options ive made a decision not to go with alpine didnt like how the interface is when i was playing around with it today,

so for a single din heres the list ive come up with

i really didnt like using it whne i was at the store today a little bit confusing, i mean you do get used to it after staring and playing around with it for a couple hours, if my guy can locate a 800prs i can get a amazing price on it, and the ipod cable is included with the unit.
