new guy with $1,000 needs help.

Are you a fucking moron? read his first post...
Clarion Deck

PG RSD's

Clarion apx2181

As far as a sub...

Depends. Do you plan to run a simple sealed box? And I'm assuming you have a stock electrical system???
he edited and i didnt scroll back up to see ***. that is not the same first post he made the thread with and is his 3rd time editing his first POST

I think you need to be medicated
hmmmm good...job??? 27 years old and you act like this??? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif:laugh: you act as if you just joined and dont know about editing a post so you randomly name call just like a 09er. you are a loser dude and part of the problem here

I would like the front stage to go pretty loud. As for the stereo recording and two speakers being loud enough, I admit that that did not cross my mind. It always sounded like a 3d effect to me. I will be deadening my doors and replacing the stock wiring, but am not taking this into the budget. The 1,000 is for equipment only while wiring and sound deadening will be calculated separately.

Hope this clears things up a bit more for everyone

I have that same deck, it is a beast. Time alignment and high and low pass filters, changes colors, it has a lot of options that will let you tweak how you want your music to sound.

Another important question, are you looking at buying from authorized dealers, or cheapest price online? Authorized dealers give you the full warranty, but cheap online stores like woofersetc, sonicelectronix, don't give that same same warranty (I want to say just 30days through the retailer?) That'll change what you will be able to buy by a large margin. Or used?

Here is a great set-up see what you think.

Headunit

Comps

Front amp

Subs

Thats around $1000.00 now you need to build a box to specs, get wiring, some deadner and install this bad boy.

Seal your doors, it's worth it. Save money, buy cadence amps. Buying used stuff from members with good sell refs will save $ too. You can get Re Se subs on ebay real cheap now. If you can't build a box get it built to spec.

Thanks for the input everyone. I appreciate it.

Yeah, I'm still leaning more towards the Clarion because of the more amount of features, rca outs, and voltage over the kenwood.

For Comp speakers, I've heard the Alpines http://www.woofersetc.com/p5240/SPR17S--Alpine-65"-2-Way-Component-Speaker-System.htm are pretty good. Anyone know much about these?
