New guy tons of questions

Alright guys i know to start that everyone likes different things but I'm a little confused as to what products work with others.

For instance I drive a 1999 Dodge ram club cab. W/o infinity system.

My stock speakers aren't cutting it. What is the difference with these products besides price and brand? And which would be my best buy?

Subwoofers i'm fairly certain i know what i want but ii'm not sure if i should buy the package with or without the amplifier...

kicker over the others. i really like CDT for a front stage (doors). i have these http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=3341 i think those would be a lot better than the kickers you picked out. that site is a lot cheaper than crutchfield too.

Alright thanks a ton for the link there. Are there certain components in the system that are incompatable with others such as the sub and amp?

Also the mathmatical things like watts and ohms (actually electrical calculations) i'm still a little confused about.
