agreed lose the bass blockers if you have an amp theres no reason in bass blockers they do nothing

they do do something

filter out low frequencies

take out the cap and lose the bass blocker and you'll be golden.

I don't personally like the high-pass filter on my 4 channel amp. also, the pioneer head unit doesn't block off enough bass with its HPF either. so, I got the bass blockers and everything seems alright. as long as they arent getting bass im happy. my front speakers are just a filler. you can barely hear them with the JLs going. the only reason i'd get rid of them is if bass blockers lower sound quality, which i don't know. I can't hear a difference and they cut off anything below 800hz. Here is a link tho the ones I use.

you dont need to worry about sound quality.......not with the setup and knowledge you have about car audio

lol, why does everyone hate endofdays? also, the cap helps my lights from dimming and my battery from dieing because my chevy malibu has a cruddy electrical system. plus it looks nice haha.

in most cases you get what you pay for..... and jl is some of the best stuff around. If you pay 250 dollars for jl speakers they will sound like 250 dollars. But im really happy with alpine being cheaper and almost as good as most other high end brands. I hope to have an all JL system soon. JL OWNZ!!!!!

well if you went active on a 4 channel you would use the bass blockers on the tweeter channels.

but since he is running coaxials in the front he wouldnt need to use bass blockers

cause the coaxes have like a built in crossover for the tweeter.

he has 4"x6"'s up front and 6"x9"'s in the back. im assuming this is his first attempt at a system, so it was probably easier for him to just replace them rather than doing custom work to switch them around.

Ohh, you're so scary and intimidating, please don't hurt me with your strong words. Grow up ***, and stop being a little whiny 14 year old bish on the rag. I told him to ditch the cap because it's useless. It does nothing for your electrical, it doesn't store enough power to make it noticable or to show a difference. Read up noob, and ask your self "Am I right?" or "Does this make sence?" before you post anything.

As for my equipment, it's nothing spectacular, but it probably beat harder than yours, and I have a single 10" setup.
