Hey I am looking to get some new front door speakers because the right speaker is blown so I figured now would be the perfect time to get better speakers. I really want the speakers to have insane sound quality over everything else. I am really into rock and heavy metal but I listen to alot of drumcorp music in my car as well. I dont care if they are used or not as long as they are still in good condition and I dont want to spend to much maybe no more than 250-300. Thanks, Chief

Just talked to my parentals and told them about the blown speaker so I thnk they are going to pay for the front speakers. So if they are under 200 that would be awesome. And I want a pair that I can just power by my hu until I get the money for a small amp. Thanks, Chief

Type-R components dang it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif Mine are running off the HU now, but I'm told they need to be fully powered to be appreciated. FinestDeals or something on Ebay could probably get you under $200. High's are awesome! Lows are very impressive for them to be just 5x7's! I'm suprised by how well the mid bass and highs are covered by these components.

I was told your tweeter should be mounted close as possible to your woofer for maximum imaging. I went with side view mirror level though.

I PM'd ya with some info. As for brands I think you'd be fairly happy with just about anything aftermarket of decent quality. I would avoid Infinity for corps musicc because the highs are REALLY harsh and the cymbal crashes can kill you if you have it cranked up heh. I dont know what your car has for sizes on factory speakers but I would put the 6.5" up front for sure, IF they fit that is. If your on a budget and low power look into these sets for fronts:

And if you want to just replace the factory fronts with another set of good 5.25's these sound very good in my second car for DCI stuff, as a bonus they dont require much power to sound clean:

If you really want rears I'd recommend something simple like a 2-way 6.5" or 5x7". Hope all that helps.

Get some Dls UP6's from Tplaya07, they are unbelievable, and the small magnet will help you a bunch putting them in a WRX. I just put some Diamond Hexes in my brother's WRX and they were really deep, and I had clearance issues with the window regulator. Also, do yourself a favor and sound deaden the door too, they rattle a bunch. Up6's are around $300- some of the best speakers I have ever heard regardless of price.
