New FI Audio SP4 or Ascendant Audio Mayhem. How do they compare. Should I be first?

Alright this thread has been derailed long enough.

Back on topic please or else I'll have to do some housecleaning.

i would run the AA mayhem over the SP4 due to no prior tests showing its durability, output etc.

if you want to be first, go for it,

but all in all, id go AA...

FI is great, but id rather go n2, or find a ufo btl.

That is what I was thinking. I would rather let FI work out the bugs.

I am going with the AA mayhem. 7 cu. ft box. tuned to 33 hertz.

There is a great topic in the Fi forum that explains the difference between the BTL and the SP4. The BTL can be interchanged (for the purpose of that topic) with the Mayhem, and answer a lot of questions.

I've been debating over the SP4 as well..

(not sure if it would fit, just know they're both 4" coils)

The sp has to much mms and the AA is over motored..

The sp will do better in a smaller box 3.5 for the 15 with the AA needs 4.5 per driver..

Depends on what type of sound you want, the sp4 is gonna be soother more laid back with sickening lowend and the AA will be aggressive punchy and dry..

Didn't go with the mayhem. I wish I did. But I got a super super super good deal on a pair of sundowns.

But go with the mayhems for sure
