New DD Build in the navigator!

Well i am a new dd dealer so im switching the navi out to dd. i will start putting pics up tomorrow just wanted to get some interest going. the system will consist of.....

1-Pioneer p6800dvd

1-DD C4a

1-DD Z1a

3-sets DD german comps.

6-DD 2500's

I will be building this truck to show you dont have to have 9500's to bang! (although it helps,lol) I wanted a vehicle that was musical but loud too i will be competing in the superstock 1001-2000 watt class and my first show is this weekend so we will see. the german comps are on backorder,along with my Z2's so i will have to stay with my Pioneer PRS' comps up front and for rear fill but i will be switching the midbass out to the DD mb6.5's so those pics will come later and anybody that is close to dallas or willing to make the drive there is a good show at chucky's connection in longview tx. this sunday. so untill tomorrow.........

sounds good,those dc's are gettin some good reviews. i havent heard them in person but would definately love too. we will also have our world finals winning crx out there,last show before we switch it to dd to.

Yea, I'm good friends with Andrew, I visit him often and his truck made me buy DC 18's...the XL Level 4's. lol..

Hopefully he should be in the 165-167 range with his build. I'm hoping to burp 155+ and 151+ streetbeat, we'll see..

it looks like it will be a good build...and your right it doesn't take the biggest DD's to get loud ....

ok we will start with some pics of the kickpanels. when finished they will have mirror plexi in the recess that will be etched with yhe dd logo and edge lit with red led's more pics tomorrow

the kicks are a little hard to make out because the vinyl is so light. it is butter cream color

Nice choice w/ the DD2500's.

Great subs for the $.

You can do ALOT w/ those little guys, don't be afraid to give em some power.

I did a setup awhile back w/ 2 2515's on 2 m1a's strapped at 1ohm...ran it for ~8months w/ no problems at all.

I also match customers up w/ 2500's and m1a's for single sub setups here at the shop.

Oh...and I'll be at the show at Chucky's this weekend.

Here are th finished pics guys,sorry i didnt take many in between i was really busy and had no help all my guys were workin on customers cars. well my old setup was 10 xtant x-1044's and 2- massive 3000.1's my best numbers were 150db flat @ 49hz with the new setup 6-10's instead of 10-10's and 1-z1a instead of 2-3000.1's my first run numbers without a complete break in process and amp gain at about 60% is 151.9db @ 48hz,prettyloud and very musical,with proper break in and gains adjusted properly im thinking in the 153db range.

also keep an eye out for my new build,im finally gonna start the '96 blazer with 4-9518's and 4-z2lv's walled!! that's gonna be a fun.fun build and will have more step by step in depth pics.

the pics of the kicks still have my pioneer prs comps in them im waiting on the DD german comps to come in.
