Subwoofers - 2 Dayton Audio MKIII 10s

Amp - Kicker SX650.1

Box Information...

Box Volume - 2.54cuft

The box has a single 4" aero port and its tuned to 28hz. The box was to shallow for the correct port length so it has a 90 in the back to get the full length.

Heres a pic of the WINisd graph

The F3 is 26.9hz and it stays extremely flat, very happy with the curve.

First review of the box is positive. Extremely clean and accurate on almost any music Ive tried so far. You get the lows with R&B and when I tossed in some metal the double bass was perfect. Ill do a full write up after a couple of hours of tweeking and listening.

I will say I was hoping for a little more SPL.. but then again my previous smallest system in the past 3 years has been 2 15s off 3k. So its a HUGE downgrade in bump.

Stage 1 - 2 10s & amp

Stage 2 - HU and Frontstage

Stage 3 - New amps, eq and active

Stage 4 - Supercharger... ehhh

Dayton has some accurate subs here... I'm blown away on how clean they hit and how well they blend with a LOC, stock HU, and stock frontstage without any EQ. The box, which is designed to be as flat as possible, seems to be responding as well as I hoped it would. I'm letting the subs loosen up a little today by running some sweeps at very low volume. Hopefully in a few days they will be great.

I wish i could get a little more voltage from the HU/LOC, the amp isnt getting half of what it should.

Thanks guys.

Anyone know of a cheater way to get more pre amp volts to the amp? Im using a PAC Trunk-loc that I used a few years back. I dont want to switch out the HU yet because then the stock amp wont work and dont have time to glass in a frontstage.

Need a line driver/eq. Currently, the best option is the RF Three Sixty, but those are expensive. Hifonics makes something that is very similar. It acts like a LOC but you can set the output voltage and mess with the EQ settings to balance and set the gain before it even reaches the amp. I think you can set it up to like a 9V pre-out to the amp which is awesome, nice strong signal.
