Hey Guys new to forum here. I just purchased a Chrysler 300C (2005) and am going to upgrade the audio system. I have the 8 speakers system w/o navigation and am going to replace the head unit with a Pioneer AVH-X5500BHS. I am not sure what direction to go with speakers, but there are a few manufacturers that I get incredible pricing from which I will list below. I also know that I will need a new bezel, which I have found for around $85 which seems pretty good. What type of wiring harnesses or adapters will I need to still allow the steering wheel functions to work? Any help is appreciated as it has been some time since I last messed with car audio. If anyone would be willing to give opinions on speaker manufacturers, and perhaps specific models I would greatly appreciate it. I am looking for detail and quality over loudness, and am not opposed to using a small subwoofer if needed. Thank you in advance.

Speaker manufacturers:

Clarion

Dual Audio

Infinity

JBL

Oxygen

Pioneer

Quantum

Thanks Guys,

AC

Out of all those, JBL is probably the best for quality, I use JBL myself //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
@trumpet; @mylows10; both these guys i tagged can get you set up with what you need man!
yes we can , just need some questions answered first. budget , wants ,needs ,how much power do you need ,what kind of mods ,batteries and alt are you willing to do.

Well budget is a bit difficult since I can get things at pretty good pricing. Wants I would say that I would enjoy quality, rich, full sound even at lower volumes. I am willing to do a bit of modding, I have a friend who used to do a lot of custom pro installs and he will help me, though i will compensate him adequately. In terms of power I am a newb with 12V as my background is in home audio. Let's say a budget of around $500 for starters. I want to retain the general integrity of the car, so let's say no changing of door panels, dash, etc if possible. What have I ommited?

thanks, AC

Like mylows was getting at, $500 is not going to get you very far. I'm not about to talk about distributor pricing publicly(or by private messages, for that matter) because you never know how that information will spread.

It's odd that you listed Oxygen as you should know that brand doesn't exist in the car audio market anymore.

Few thoughts….I already have purchased the deck, but no harness so that is out of the budget consideration. And no, I am not trolling, I have a friend who can will help me with product at his cost, but my knowledge is very limited and I wanted to seek out advice of others as well. I saw Oxygen on the list but apparently I can cross them off, thank you for that. I realize I may need to purchase the deck and get that installed and work through the rest of the system over time. I did not mean to ruffle any feathers, but it appears I may have so sorry. I will continue this elsewhere and thank you for the advice.

I certainlly am not going to mention pricing, nor do i expect anyone else to do that same, I was only mentioning that because of the budget question. I should have just thrown out how much I would spend, it was just a guess on my part. Sorry if I implied this.

integration wires and steering remote wires will be $150 + alone .if you can get distributer pricing why are you asking here ,if you don't mind me asking
I'm asking you guys because I don't know anything about 12v and car audio. I think I may have overstepped my boundaries here.

not really ,its just if your asking for recommendations and then telling us [vendors] that you can get it at wholesale price anyways ,its kind of like slapping us in the face
