I would send the pictures to your son and ask his opinion. The Pontiac sounds a little to good to be true, but don't over look it. A Lexus is good, but somewhat pricy when it comes to repairs. The mazda's are good and so are 1992-1995 Honda civics and the 1990-1993 Honda Accords. My wife and I bought my step daughter a 1992 Accord Ex. Was a very good and dependable first car for her, especially for how she treated it. Paid 3k for it, and got 2k for trade on it three years later. Not to bad I guess.
