ok....heres the options for my new car

(1) get my dads 1997 toyota camry with about 70k miles on it....i could have that now

(2) wait till after winter and have about 10 or 11k to spend on a car

i want a new car now...but i dont know if it would be worth taking a toyota camry over an eclipse or maybe a blazer or something. are toyota camrys easily upgradeable such as engine parts to add hp or exhaust kits and such???

give me your suggestions??

what do you guys think of the chevy s-10 extremes??? i could get a brand new one here for around 14k.....but since it is brand new i could probably get a loan on it through my parents and i could pay off the extra 3k or so from working. if you dont like these...what other sporty vehicle would you suggest for around 14k brand new or maybe around 11k used

As far as the camry, my friend has a 96, and he really hooked it up. Camry's are VERY easy to set up for an audio system. (I watched him do it) As far as the audi, I have an A6, and it's a bit hard to get any panels off. Everything's so well put together, it's a real nice car. Not meant for the beginner installer to go rootie tootiing (like me).

i have a 95 camry and it is real easy to install on! would your dad make u pay for his? if not take that for now play/learn on it and sell it off when u find a great deal on a new car. my camry has about 104,000 on it and its still going strong. that car will last and its soooooo easy to install on and there are tons of add ons (body kits, engine mods...). if your pops is going to make you pay him for his car then look around i know u can find a used camry for less then $11G's

hope this helps!

The Extremes are nice, you could drop a V8 in there or really work on the stock 4.6L(?) They come stock with a 2" dropped stance and you could slam it with airbags and a c-notch. Put in a rockin' system, stuff 20's or 22's under the fenders and tha'd be sweet.

haha i wish that was the deal...the deal is i get the camry now or i get 11k to spend on a vehicle after winter...he wont let me take it then sell it off and then give me more money. i really really like the extremes...but they would be terrible in the winter, wouldnt they??? i dont think they are 4wd so they would even be worse then getting a mustang or something.

when i was asking about the camry easy to upgrade....i didn't mean car audio...im satisfied with what i have now...i was talking about engine/body upgrades. anybody know a website that has a camry with a body kit on it??? i dont understand how they work either...can i just get the kit painted to match my car? or do i have to get a complete paint job again?
