Do I need a new car battery I'm currently using a stock one. I jut ordered a sundown sa12 I have a hifonics hfi1500d to power it and then I have 4 speakers running off a 125.4 amp but only take 50rms each, so I'm looking at about 1200-1450 rms I have a big 3 upgrade already 0 gauge, would buying a better higher amp battery help much? I'm not looking to go to comps, just daily driver and I like it loud //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

daily driver can be just as hard. Because playing it for long periods of time will have your alternator hot so it will be out less volts. And your in the sitting and sitting at red lights. Your alternator won't be producing much amperage.

So that's a yes I do? How many amps should I look I to, would a kinetik hc1800 be a good choice? Or is it over kill or under par? Just curious.

Can't tell you for sure. Best way to learn is set it all up. And check what your voltage is at with the headlights on, and the heat or a/c.

If you like it loud, i would suggest the big 3 and for 1000-1500 watts rms, I wuold go with a 102ah Powerware AGM battery . Some may say that 100+ ah may be a little overkill for the rms your running, but why settle for "just enuff to get by"?? Go ahead and get something that wiull keep you in the 13.5-13.8 range at full tilt. Every application is differant, but these Powerware batteries are no joke and if you check out my vendor section on this forum, you will see some excellent reviews. Pm me for quotes and more specifics about your application. I would love to assist you with any questions or concrns you may have and will provide the best that I can to resolve you voltage concerns. Thanks

YOU RANG!!!! Thanks for the mention bro.

^^^This. IMO, the only downside to adding more electrical is cost. "Overkill" is tossed around so much, but I would rather do more than I need than just enough any day of the week.

Ok thanks guys //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif ill look into buying a new battery
