Real possible it won't meter as well, I am going with a top port this round. Im interested to see what happens, but I will gain a few cubes by the rebuild. Todd Zier is going to have his hands on this wall. The last box we made metered really well, but it did have issues with having hot spots because of the port distance from the top sub and the depth of the box. Top port should take care of these issues, should be alot more reliable and have a much cleaner sound.I knew you'd go with super heavyweights eventually. I wonder what would happen if they did a couple db's louder than your lvl5's?
Hot spot in the box is where a sub acts like it getting more power because it is either loading off another sub or it is just loading faster period than the other subs, causing it to unload or violently go crazy.Hot spots?
please elaborate...i think a friend is having a similar problem.
how in the hell do you fix that?Hot spot in the box is where a sub acts like it getting more power because it is either loading off another sub or it is just loading faster period than the other subs, causing it to unload or violently go crazy.
Deeper boxes and sub spacers will typically fix it. In my case a top port will solve my problem because I cannot get anymore depth.how in the hell do you fix that?
I think symmetry is a must....too bad it isnt always possible
