New build, advice please?

So I have a build in mind, but I am having some problems finding an amp I like. I am going to be purchasing VM-Audio-Encore-12-Inch-High-Excursion-Subwoofer- I plan on having a friend of mine build me a box, and I do plan on doing the Big 3 upgrade. Any advice on a good amp for this sub?
