port per cuft 13.67in2

gross volume:5.26cuft

net volume after displacement without port 3.47cuft

tuning freq 30hz.

what do you guys think??

my previous box some tart built was 3.3cuft gross and net 2.09 at 33hz. ugh got jipped 120$

i just built one that was 4.7cuft @ 44hz. that was bad lol. what should i aim for cuftwise??

ive just been expirmenting lately with boxes. only way i can learn how a sub acts in boxes lol.

Could I just shorten the port length a few inches, the tune may go up a 3/4 of a hz but my net vol went to about 3.7cuft shortening the length...

or should i lower the tune and make the box a lil bigger? what port area should i stay at i heard 13-16in is target

yeah what should i use to brace it with? btw.... dc reccomends this woofer in a net vol 3.25cuft box. tuned LOW
dowel rods or a windowed out piece of MDF like this:

Theres many types of bracing. you can used threaded steel rods, or you can use wooden dowels with 5x5 or so pieces of mdf screwed to each end for greater surface area. Window style bracing or w/e you want to call it is very nice too.
