You can build a proper one with one sheet of MDF. Give me the dimmensions of that box and I can give you proper slot port dimmensions. If you still wish to give it a try to see what we are talking about, go ahead. I'm sure after hearing the port noise you will be willing to give the box a new build.

PVC pipe. Round ports. 35sq inches of port area might be difficult to get though.

with aeroports, he won't need all of that port area because of the flare. He could just use 2 of them.

I doubt them aeroports are long enough to tune your box that low with 2 of em.

ya just use one. the more ports you add the longer they get. SOmething which i find odd.

the box you built looks nice, the port does seem kind of small in higth, altho its is wide, the hight might give you that air rushing in and out noise.

he would have to run them on the side I think to get 28hz and would need to buy an extra 4" pvc pipe to run the length.

What made you decide on 28hz? just out of curiosity.

It's already taken care of. He is going to try the box out and if he gets port noise, He will build a better suited box.
