New Battery

Well, my current battery is getting up there in age (~5 years), though it still seems to work fine.

Since I may have to replace the battery anyway, along w/ the fact that I have a small amplified sound system (~600w RMS), I am considering upgrading my current battery.

I don't ever listen to music w/ the car off, so, I don't see the need for a deep cycle battery.

Should I concentrate on the highest CCA and highest reserve I can afford (and that can fit in my car)? Would a brand like Die Hard, Ever Ready, etc. w/ high CCA and reserve (say 700-900 CCA) be of any benefit vs. a stock replacement (550 CCA)? I don't want to spend the extra $$$ on an Optima battery if it wouldn't provide any extra benefit given my situation (only listen to music w/ the car running).

I've never considered battery upgrades, so I'm a total noob.

I've read places that say you shouldn't go more than 200 CCA over what your car recommends. Does this matter?

Any thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to edumacate me! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/graduate.gif.d982460be9f153bb54e5d4cb744f6ae8.gif

Thanks!
