It still sounds good, but has a different bump to it, it sounds good also, but if your used to the HD3 you will notice the difference, if you never heard the hd3 then it wont make a difference. Either or its a great woofer for the price!

Can you say its a great woofer regardless of price?

I mean would you pay what you pay for a 9510 for the hdc3?

Good thing ive never heard an hd3....hehe....no comparo

I would say its a great woofer for the price, regardless of price kinda leaves it open ended. Hmm knowing how cheap parts from overseas are no I wouldnt pay the price of a 9510 for a HDC, but I would however pay for a 9510 composite cone, with a cf dust cap, because its a very strong woofer and will handle a good amount of abuse, but I have been told the new HDC will also, my old HD3 I had problems with shredding the cone same thing people had problems with the basic 95, cause the paper cone was just the weakest link...This happens when you use MORE then the rated rms and max rating on the sub, I do however look forward to all the new things coming in the future such as AQ amps as well.

I beleive that the HDC is suppost to have a newer / stronger cone then the old sub.. but im looking for loudness...

Im putting mine in a Box with Four 4" EXTERNAL Aeros, so this is a serious SPL box, and i want to make sure that the HDC3 Wangs

Single DVC 1 Ohm 15" HDC3

4 Cube Box tuned @ 38hz with Four 4" External Aeros

Power Acoustik A3000DB @ half an ohm

im hoping this setup is capable of HIGHHH 140's, or maybe in a slight dream, a 150.00

at the dash sealed up would be ideal, i know headrest scores are going to be lower then that

that whole 40hz tuning thing still gets to me, i dont understand how a 40hz tuned box could possibly play low lowss without the sub going ape shit, like soul survivor is a 28hz note i beleive, how the hell are you going to play 28hz on a 40 tuned box, i guess the good thing about having multiple aeros is you can always plug a port if you wanna wang lows

yea that worried me too man.. but I have had multiple people say it still eats the lows.. We'll see.. we need some testimony for this.. I wanted 36hz actually

I can say this much, my single HD312 in a 2.0 net box tuned at 43hz plays the lows very well, I wanted a dual purpose set up which this did wonders for me, played lows, and played loud on the mic as well, 147.7 in the kick problem free. If your just after a daily driver 38hz would be fine!!

Well its my Daily driver but I do a bit of competing.. My SXs at 32 hz were really loud and deep and shoook stuff but only managed a 13.7 at the dash and a 146.9 in the port.. I want something to suprise my passangers and still throw up a 145 legal at the comps.. will the 2 1606d's be good or should I go for one 3000+watt amp? I am doin electrical upgrades

why in the hell do you have non-AGM batteries inside the passenger compartment?
