that whole 40hz tuning thing still gets to me, i dont understand how a 40hz tuned box could possibly play low lowss without the sub going ape shit, like soul survivor is a 28hz note i beleive, how the hell are you going to play 28hz on a 40 tuned box, i guess the good thing about having multiple aeros is you can always plug a port if you wanna wang lows

I guess you'll just have to see for yourself. Watch the vid in my sig, the only songs played are LOW. Soul Survivor is nothing compared to Gucci Mane - Hold that Thought (one of the songs I was playing). That song has a constant, low note bass line. Also, the other DJ Unk songs get low as well and let's not forget Jeezy's Hypnotize on that 3rd drop.

HD3's have NO PROBLEM hitting the lows at 40hz. 40hz is the sweet spot, not 38, not 42, but 40. Tune any higher and you lose out on the low end, tune any lower and your upper response goes to shit. I've tried different configs at 32, 35, 40, 45, and 50hz. 40hz sounded the best and is the loudest note in my car, so I left it there and never looked back.

Now its an absolute positive that the new HDC3's require and like the SAME BOXES that the old HD3s like? because im Making my box for mine tomorrow, and going by the HD3 specifications since theres none out for the HDC3 yet, and Aero's arent cheap so i wanna make sure i get it right and its the same box before i dick it up

Just talked to DJ, being that he said that its still being made in the factory, that means that it hasent been loaded onto the container ship yet, and the container ship takes atleast a week to get here from china, much less all the other BS they ahve to go through before they actually get the subwoofers in stock

in short, DJ said it should be about 3-4 more weeks before theyre released

Im gonna get hella pissy if i get the money ready to buy finally and their still not out.

I would like to get these instead of 9500s....just based on price and newness...but if their not out by at least end of next month its gonna be tough decision

what kind of amp do you have on it? I'm thinking of picking one up and powering it with a Rockford Fosgate T20001BD, which is 2000 @ 1ohm but underrated. Is this to much power?

Iy obviously depends on the ohm load, to many factors involved to actually know what kinda of power your getting out of that amp, there for we cannot properly answer your question.

Perfect Situation you wire your amp and it sees a final 1ohm load and get 2k and have the battery and electrical to suffice the current draw to keep you getting that power, then yes 2k is fine for the woofer, I ran my single 12 on an american bass vfl400.1 which is rated 4k@1ohm and its underrated.

Yea I would wire it to 1 ohm for max power. I have a kinetic hc2400 in the trunk to help with the draw and 0 guage all over.
