if u plan on using 1500 watts, u need AT LEAST 4 gauge, im too lazy to pull the chart up but i ran 1200 with 4 gauge so ur going to need at least that, but probably need 0 gauge for 1500

This. The MBQ 1500.1 have 4awg inputs so as long as it's quality 4 awg you should be fine. Just keep in mind that you then have no room to upgrade or add a second amp, etc.

Local audio shop or welding supply place. I'd go with welding wire before a local shop just because of price. Best price on audio wire will be found online.

If it's true OFC, then 300A. Otherwise it will depend on the wire.

there's OFC wire, which is oxygen free copper, and CCA, copper clad aluminum.

It's not OFC, it's CCA. That being said, 1/0 of Knu's CCA will be plenty for what you want to do. It's flexible too. I think it'll suit your needs.
