I just installed my new dc alternator yesturday. As soon as i start the car, the voltage goes up in the 15.1-15v.... all my amp goes into protect... worst is that one of them blew as soon as it saw the 15v.
My car is an hyundai elantra 2004. it's supposed to have a external regulator. i tried inverting the wire on the dc harness (since the color didn't match) and the voltage was going even highier (around 15.8v)
how bad is it for the car batteries, and ecm. any way to bring it down a little? is it bad for the amp if they goes into protect as soon as i start the car (and obviously don't play). music start as soon as i shut the car down.
any help you be good. Where could i find an external regulator that could fit my harness?
