lol @ this thread... all i know is i go into the audioshop in town, the kid behind the counter brags about his all audiobahn system from subs to w\e its ALL AUDIOBAHN DOOD. then he goes omg you have an fi in ur truck?!!?!?!? dood u know steve meeed? im like uh yeah bro hes loud. n hes like NAH BRaH HES DA LOUDEST.

people like that cause steve to have a bad name. lets be honest with the amount of money steve has to put into car audio its impossible for him not to be loud.

as for his name on the cone if ur scott idc how much time u put in steve u could of just said yeah thats cool w\e cause its a sales pitch. weather people beleive u put in work or not they dont care they see steve meade n bust a nut

Im going to run these subs, and if they sound good im going to show them to pretty much the entire world using videos and possibly doing some big road trips in 2009
what im saying is, although its an AA sub there is a reason it says SMD on it too. This is a project WE have been working on over a year. I didnt just get a phone call one night and here it is, there was a lot of thought put into it.

So the sub has your name on it, and you are promoting them.. but you haven't actually used one yet.. ?

I would think if you were as involved with this sub as you say you are you were, you would have got a few different prototypes to test out before they began production..

Wondering where these subs will be available ? Through AA dealers only ? Will they be available through Steve's website ? Or can they be had directly from FI ?

I would think if you were as involved with this sub as you say you are you were, you would have got a few different prototypes to test out before they began production..

Pretty much what thought.. sounds like the R & D phase is pretty much complete except for some minor tweeks..

will be interested to see the results..

well these arent a different sub being sold "as mine", they ARE mine...Scott has been working on MY sub for over a year now. I didnt simply just slap my name on it....trust me.

Ok I am not sure if this has been covered yet but I wanna comment on it while it is fresh in my head before I read to far ahead... I think the issue is here scott designed it you already said it. So it IS technically your woofer but no more sore than the btls that you bought in a the sense of ownership. I HIGHLY doubt you designed it and I am sure scott did all the recommendations. That is just paying somebody else to design it for you as I am sure some companies do. But i wouldn't take major credit for somebody elses design. If you are just in it to make a buck great idea. If you are in it to be proud... you are selling somebody elses design

actually that may not be an exaggeration. few years back had 6 audiobahn aw1200's and 1000 watts going against a guy with 4 wild beast 12's more spl tuned and 5,000 watts..... Beat him on the meter by 1 db

actually, on my site, i did post up the most recent number i did at my house on my meter. I did a 158.x. Half my garage fell down (shit on the shelves and rafters). Since then i have metered the caddy a couple times. It will probably never see the lanes though because that means NOTHING to me or Chicken. 2 years ago, in front of EVERYONE, i was bassracing a mid 158 (windows down doing a demo for Doug Stockton) before my score dropped to a 156.xx (song paused). So no matter what you think, even with my windows down that day, a 158 for almost 30seconds is BRUTALLY loud.
Seriously, show me someone who can do a hairtrick like my truck can and tell me they arent loud. What about my Tahoe says it isnt to you? Again, some of you guys are straight up crazy.

bassracing a 158 sealed up on a lab with the TAHOE... I call bs. If you can do a 158 in the kick your bass race score likely wouldn't break a 154

**** so many haters. SM is a cool guy and has done awesome work. if yer a car audio enthusiast like this site says ud appreciate his achievements accomplished and entertaining vids he has done.

I think the issue may not even be his fault... The honestly truth at least for me I get tired of people go have you seen that one guy on youtube with like 4 18's ... I go steave meade... they go yeah WOW he is loud. He prob is loudest thing in the world
