Hello I am getting ready to complete my system and need to finalize my amp decisions. For now I am using a plain alpine 60 X 4 amp, my speakers can take up to 90 rms. But I think I want to upgrade. For a sub amp I am using a RF 1000.1 db amp. My choices are above let me know what you think.

i was told to vote and bump..

just run a power generator in your car-5.1 surround setup-32" lcd mounted on steering wheel-satelite tv.

steer with the tv and BLAM ur set! **** radio while ur drivin down the road

I'm in the market for an Audison lrx 4.300 used. That's my choice for now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I am surprised more people are choiseing the alpine over the jl.
JL does not make the best amps in the world. Neither does Alpine. I would never run a PDX. Not that there is anything wrong with them, I just don't prefer Alpine. I'd much rather run a US Amps 442 or a PPI ProMos-450. I just don't like the new stuff. I recently installed a Sundown 100.4 and I like the fact it has everything you need to run a full active setup.

I like the JL out of those but Diamond makes some good amps for the price. I had a PDX 150.2 and hated it and put my older Diamond D5 600.2 on my comps and there was a world of difference. I do not trust class D for full range and after owning one there was a huge difference.

I'm now warming up to the old school planet audio hvt754, it's on the short

list with the lrx.

But if you want some major power, PM Wowimzz; he has an old Orion 8004

for $200 shipped //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

Okay, I'll bite. If you're going to get rear speakers, get the same ones (model type, doesn't have to be the same size) that you have up front...

I would keep the amp you have and keep the components. Place the components in some universal door pods, and look at getting a powered SAS 8"...
