Item(s) for Sale:
SONY XM-460G. ES line, of course. Very, very hard to find regardless of condition.
Item(s) Description/Condition:
She's pristine, I just bought it brand new without the box and auditioned it for a couple weeks. Beautiful dynamic sound, very clean and powerful.
Real specs are nearly impossible to find on this but below are the specs for the 2 channel version. It's the old school SONY before they began making the power supplies that could be configured for either high voltage OR high current, like the HX series that made the same power in either mode. This one is not configurable for high voltage OR high current, instead it's rated for operation as low as 1ohm stereo and is overbuilt like quality old school amps were known to be. In fact, it's essentially two amplifiers in one heat sink as can be seen in the pics.
Known specs are 60 x 4 @ 4ohms. I would expect at least three times that at 1ohm as it had no problem driving my very demanding LMS sub without complaint.
4/3/2 channels, fused @ 2 x 30A. She runs just fine bridged @ 2ohms. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
