If he is this far over his quoted lead time for the prototype that he has everything for and should have assembled a long time ago... we may just have to go elsewhere and simply lease the XBL^2 tech... Makes me sad but this is what it is looking like... I mean it would rly be faster to go from *china* if his lead time on the production units is *this* far off... Well, there's no doubt that your own build house would speed things up at this rate, in terms of information about the drivers or drivers themselves. Even with the near 1 year head start Adire has, I bet making your own build house would get things done quicker. =\

Time to have someone get their happy *** to Chile to find out where the #*^% your mids are. That or just cancel the order and have a different build plant make them.

the order for all of them hasn't been placed so we can go to a different build house without major issue

what's sort of rubbing me the wrong way is that prototypes from china take half this time... if you have the finished design

anyway sry for the delay fellas... I'm pretty sick at the moment so dylan's going to check up on things for me...

oh and I understand that adire is really busy right now and all... so this isn't me saying anything negative about them

but when I posted this thread it was 4 weeks out from when I ordered .... I was quoted 4-6 weeks for the prototype from that date till when I received it

it's now a bit over 9.5 weeks

I consider a nice listening Db level around 100db/m away or 100db/.5m in your car... so I would say probably 5 watts or so would be a good listening dynamic level

but RMS is rated for 75w for car usage and 125w for home usage (this is assuming people in car audio double the RMS)... it doesn't matter the resistance... whether 2 ohm or 8 ohm... if you give it the power it's all the same towards efficency... that only effects sensitivity when measured at 2.83v... which means that's 4 watts at 2 ohms or 1 watt at 8 ohms

we're desperately trying to get the prototype by the end of this week... we've finally put our heavy foot down about the absurdity of this delay

it's approaching 3 times what we were promised and enough is enough

this is not any type of shot at Adire for the delay... we simply must have product delivered when promised... this is how I run this business and this is how I expect others to run their businesses....

Dan has been nothing but helpful however and still is one of the most knowledgable people in audio... I certainly will be doing business with adire in the future... but because of these kind of delays we might just be building future products in house or using other buildhouses

sokay feandil. just do what you have to do to make things work out, if you end up moving away from adire, thats their loss.
