If you feel your honestly right then take a pic of the dmm reading out to 2.1, then you have no reason to defend yourself anymore........

Guessing you had em wired to .5 and have no idea what your doing and popped it. Your claim wont holdup with paypal

but you see it this way too, he could claim you sold a known faulty amp, and that you knew it didn't work, and you blamed him for popping it, and took his cash....it goes either way.

the amp did not go into protect at all.. it should not at 2ohms.. if u want to pay for it to get fixed or we can split it.. then im cool with that cuause ive always wanted a kicker 2500 and this is not a good way to start it out!

Do you have a camera? Do you have a volt meter? Can you take a picture?

Im not tryin to take sides just tryin to help get it resolved. Either way the amp shouldnt have been smelly, the only way I see that happening right after hook-up is if you hooked pos and neg backwards which obviously didnt happen since you hooked up another amp fine.

good luck, wired at 1 or 2 ohm, the amp should work...sure it may go into proect at 1 ohm, but will work...if it smells, that's a bad sign.Whether it was the seller, or buyer, we could point fingers all day long. But it's the chance ya take,buying used equipment. Now, how the seller reacts to this, is something everyone else will conclude too. If you want to make it right, give him his money back and pay the $50 to get it repaired.

yup.. tomarrow i will get a pic on the multimeter that it reads 2.1 i said send my back 1/2 the cost to get it fixed and it will be done with! i dont like to be a bad guy but come on it dont work so im out $375 bucks

^^^ Exactly, sounds like somethin was messed, how was the packaging, could it have been damaged during ship? Either way if I was a seller or buyer I think splitting the cost on a 50 dollar repair is fair just for the sake of good business and being a stand up guy...imo

dont think that those are bad amps those are really good amps and your lucky that u got one. he either sent u a bad amp or.....i have no idea bro.

first off....you need to stay out of it. You don't have a clue as to what is going on here. I know Justin personally, and i also personally installed that amp in Justin's truck. Justin would never knowingly sell crap to someone.

^^^ Could it have been damaged during shipping? I would open it up and see if anything had been damaged on the board......

get over it he sold him a trash amp. way back in 2007. he had threads about running his 2500 at 1ohm with no problems, now he sell it because he fried it. like the other guys said it should have went ito protect if only ohms wired wrong
