If Polecat wasnt gonna be involed with the amp getting repaired, I would have though that this was a classic scam to fleece the seller for money. Saying that the amp is broken and saying you want money to get it fixed when in fact noting is wrong with it.

give me the $25 then like i just said! plain and simple! or im filing a claim!

Sounds like extortion to me. Seller should contact his or her local FBI office and speak to somebody.
