ok i bought a kicker kx 2500 off the member WhiteIce.. ok so i get it today.. hook it up.. everything powers up and the amps starts smelling like burnt crap... and the subs dont move what so ever.. what can be wrong with this amp... i disconnected it and hooked another amp up and it worked fine so i no it has to do with the amp?

Take pictures of all 8 subs and this will be easier resolved

why would taking a picture of 8 subs help, we need to know how these 4 are hooked up....

Why would you try to sell subs and then go out and by the same kind?Why not get an amp that is 1 ohm stable for your others seeing as it would be cheaper

yes polecat that is how they are wired.. and i tried selling my 4 dual 2ohms on here but instead sold them locally and then i used that money and bought 4 dual 4s monday when i sent u the money for the amp.. and wired the subs today and hooked it up and amp turned on, stunk and subs wouldn't move.. i hooked a little gay amp up and they worked.. thats why i say something is wrong with this!

Because I think the kid is lying about the subs he has. I think he has just the 4 dual 2

i bought the same ones cause i like them! and made $30 bucks off it and i bought your amp cause i wanted to run at 2ohms... so my electrical wasn't as bad! there something wrong with this amp man.. im not trying to bust your balls but its not right!

Well that's funny cause you told me your mom loaned you money for the amp that's why you made two seperate payments but suddenly all this money appears?

like i said i sold the dual 2's man locally and made $30 extra and picked brutus's up in dual 4's cause i love these subs! i shouldn't have to explain myself.. the amp dont work! it powers on.. stinks.. and subs dont move!

IF he has dual 4's, the amp needs serviced, IF it's at 1 ohm, start the volume, with the car on, all the way down on volume knob, then slowly roll the music up, if it still doesn't come on, even if it is at 1 ohm, the amp needs serviced. plus, it should NOT smell.

im not running them anymore i installed new subs... brutus's dual 4's so i could ran this amp at 2 ohms.. right now im running 4 12" dual 4 brutus subs..i got the 4 dual 2s forsale![/B] so im at 2ohms.. there shouldn't be a problem.

 

But yet you just said you sold them Monday?

lol cause i need extra money for the amp is why she loaned me the money.. dude the amp is messed up face it.. refund me.. and them sells this blown up amp to someone else!

how he got the money is irrelevant, IF the amp doesn't work, you sold a faulty amplifier, plain and simple.
