Need your help on kicker kx 2500!!!

ok i bought a kicker kx 2500 off the member WhiteIce.. ok so i get it today.. hook it up.. everything powers up and the amps starts smelling like burnt crap... and the subs dont move what so ever.. what can be wrong with this amp... i disconnected it and hooked another amp up and it worked fine so i no it has to do with the amp?

**** return it. he gave you a messed up amp. did water or something get in it while you where useing it that you didnt know about.

ill have to do that tomarrow.. cause im totally pisseed but i can tell u it smells like burnt crap!! so my guess is that it is messed up... i mean the power turns on perfectly but subs dont move what so ever.. and other amps i hooked up worked fine!

dont think that those are bad amps those are really good amps and your lucky that u got one. he either sent u a bad amp or.....i have no idea bro.

This kid obviously has no idea what he is doing. I asked what ohm load he had it wired to and he said 2 ohms but it doesnt matter what ohm load its wired to. That's one thing that caught my attention and when i told him that they aren't supposed to go any lower than 2 ohms he said his friend has his wired to 1 ohm and i informed him some go to 1 ohm and others do not from what i've been told. Then he insisted to tell me "even if i did switch out subs and wire them to 1 ohm it wouldn't make a difference" That was the 2nd thing that caught my attention.

it is wired to 2ohms.... so there should not be a problem!!
