Need ways to play sound system off battery

Just wondering is there way I can play a sound system without the car running. I know it isn't good to run a system w/o the car running cause the alternator charges the electrical system and recharges the battery. And the battery is just for starting the engine. But I was wondering what ideas are out there. Capacitors don't help only when the system goes to draw power and then gets recharged by the battery with is charged by the battery. But are there any creative ways to do this w/o adding a battery. I thought of adding a a switch so i can turn the sub woofers off but that's the only idea I can think of, any ideas. I'd really appreciate it

add more batteries for extended playing time. although if you put a switch on the remote lead to the subwoofer's amp.... that should turn off the most power hungry component.

but..... why are we doing this?

I don't know what the fuck you just said.. but you special..

just did a friends system and after 40 min of watching a movie all of the electricals died which is normal but never happen to him before with his older weaker system. Now his new system is demanding more power this is the type of stuff that will occur. I told him I'll just put a switch on the remote wire so when he ants to sit and watch movies in the car with a girl, he can do so for a prolonged period of time w/o the worry of this happening. This would serve as a safe switch. I just wanted to know if this would be a good idea, although his speakers are amped as well.

who in their right mind sits in a car with a girl and watches a movie. The do have home theatres or even the movies. Maybe add a second batter and do a battery isolator.

the way i have my remote hooked up if i turn the key back my amps dont come on to my subs but the hu does but if the key is turned over then it all comes on
