Need true 2500RMS@1 ohm, HELP!

hd3 15s dont need that much power to get them going, and if you dont know what your totally doing, your going to end up with 2 big paper weights, I would say your better off looking for 3000rms at what ohm final you need 1500 per woofer, I know first hand after owning the old aq hd 15 and now called the aq hd3 and they didnt like more then 2000 for daily driving, and if you ask DJ from audioque he will tell you first hand you dont need that much power.
Need and want are two different things. I'm pretty sure the old HD is not the same as the current HD series.

I run 3000 daily to mine and I don't have a paperweight //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Anyways, for cheap, you can get 2 Orion 2500D's. Or you could just get 1 5kw amp like the Adassa.

Get you a Memphis 4KW from what I've read they will do 4k at 1 ohm and it seems a lot of people daily run them at .5 ohm I'm sure at that load it should be at 6k One amp is easier to wire than two...Use your extra money and add a Kinetik bank to keep your voltage stable //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif..... If you get any set of amps that push a true 6kw+...... something like a Kinetik Bank would be necessary.....It takes power to make power....

lets narrow things down, what do u have to spend exactly?

as for the new hd3s I own a pair of 15s that are sitting here doing nothing and like I said I ran a pair of xd3000s to them and they were fine, but who is saying this guy knows what he is doing? I know for daily they dont need more then 1500rms for your average person, for people like us 2k is alwayz nice an you with 3 k thats a personal preferance, but we are not all the same, and I am sure with 3k you know what your doing, where as to this guy probably knows no where near you or I.

I read that, but if he is saying 1500$, but the cheaper the better, he obviously doesnt want to spend 1500$ if he does then pick up a used DD Z1 that will blow your mind hands down DD Z1 for the win.

off topic, but crx if you ever have some spare 9510s or 3510s laying around I would for sure be interested...lol as for an amp if you want the bang for the buck take the pa 3000db you wont be dissappointed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for jman i do know what i am doing with the power. I know how to set gains to where it is not clipping and i know when the sub is being overworked. BTW i did talk to DJ as i was ordering my subs and he said that the 1200 i have now will get them going but he also said that to get full potential without causing damage to the sub he recommended 2-2.5kw a piece. The main thing is clipping if the sub wants or needs more than the amp can produce i want to get an amp that can produce what it wants. I was told send them a clean signal without clipping it, without bass boost and they will take a ton of power and they just keep getting louder the more power. So that is why i am looking for a good clean 4-5kw's. IMO it is better to over than underpower. I would rather turn the gain down and know that i have the power if needed, as opposed to straining and clipping the 1200's to try to give it more power.

I fully understand what your saying, but normally DJ doesnt tell people (daily drivers) to give them more then 1500, hell he told me to be careful when I ran my xd3000s strapped to them, but I wasnt really talking about the gain although a good start, the box has to be suffiecent for that much power and I am sure you know you cant give them the same amount of power in a small sealed vs a large ported and what have you, along with have the power to give the amps....we all know it takes power to make power.

yes i know the box tuning and the box size has to be right or it could damage the woofer especially with that much power. When it comes to making power i am going to be running dual 220A alts and countless batts to provide the power to make power.

well I'd say Z1, but if he need's a pair, then RF 20001

and yes, Hifonics does overrate its equipement, the new XX are beetween 10-15% overrated. But considering they measure their ams @ 14.4v, you lose a lot going down to 12V.

So get a Z1 and have fun with it...
