need to slide out my Alpine head unit. How do I do this?

Greeting from a newbie. Glad I found this forum!

I have an Alpine ilx-007 installed in a 2002 Ford Excursion. Everything else is factory setup. A local shop did the install for me, but I want to upgrade the speakers and ad a small amp. I can do this myself no problem. The amp I'm using is an Alpine KTP-445a "power pack" - small little amp that fits behind the headhunt and is basically plug-and-play with Alpine head units.

How exactly do I slide my head unit out? There doesn't seem to be a bezel I can remove. DO I need some sort of keys or clip tool? I could go back to the shop that installed it, but I'd rather just do this quick job myself.

Thanks!View attachment 26552958

First, use YouTube to figure out how to pull your dash apart if you don't already know how.

If there aren't screws to take out, you'll need keys that go on each side of the radio in order to remove it. You can get them online for pretty cheap or probably even at Walmart or AutoZone or something.

no keys. most kits for that vehicle is going to snap into place. it takes some muscle and some skinny shims to take those out from the front. or you have to pop the dash panel loose and get to the tabs that hold the kit in and push them in as you pull the radio out.
