i have 1060 rms to mine and it's fine no, probs.....no over heating, mind you it's and sq setup, but i have hit 139.8 with it....it's in a 1.5 cubic foot sealed box.....i wouldn't do ported.

Well its pretty simple man you can get the 4ohm coils and run it in 2ohm version....example at 4ohms a sub is 400watts rms so at 2ohms it would be 200rms...understand that? I would have to say though this amp if you dont have it dont get it, because its a very shitty rating 250x2@ 4ohms and it claims to be a 1000watt amp thats not a great rms power there man....I would suggest you look into the jbl bp 600.1 at ikesound.com and it will push 2 alpine type-r 12's good the jbl 600.1 is 205$ with free shipping, but it will give you more than 600watts its 300at 4 ohms and 600 at 2ohms and many people have that combo the 600.1 with 2 alpine type-r and it blows most daily drivers away...........

man you got some research to do

the power rating of the sub or the ohm do not change, the amplifier sees different loads and will put out more power at a lower ohm load and less at a higher.....

Thats what I meant man you can run the amp in a 2ohm load even though your subs are 4ohm coils......and you can wire the 2 subs in parallel since the jbl 600.1 has 1 channel.........right?

if that amp is 2 ohm MONO stable you will want dual 4 ohm coils...

Rms is continous power rating, but I was talking about rms refering to his amp he listed the lanzar vibe 245

Sorry thats my fault, next time I will be more clear.....why are you changing the type-r 15 to 3 jl 10w0?? I liked your install on sound domain.......I was wondering if the alpine type-s 12's would sound better than jl audio 12w3 bass wise??

i know type s are specifcally designed for rap/dance music, but i think the jl is still a better driver, that is why i am getting them, jl's are clean and are underrated...

but i have also found 3 ppi flat piston pro 10's, so i may get those too, actually if the guy sells them i will for sure, they are so tight they will rip your head off....

You dont have to tell me about jl audio man....Im the jl fan remember.....when I lived in the states over the summer I had 2 jl audio 12w0 is a ported box and a kicker zr380 and it sounded great bass wise and what not.......I just want more bass than anything so would keeping the jl audio 12w3 be my best bet compaired to the alpine type-s 12??

try the type s if you like, they sound great, and can do quite well for spl.....no ports though

Ok I will keep the jl 12w3 though, because if I dont like the type-s its back to the jl's so a sealed box is my best bet on the type-s and Im gonna get good bass response? would a jbl 300.1 be a good match for 2 type-s 12's?
