need this confirmed.

and your sub is dual voice coil, so what is being asked, is if each coil is 2 ohm?

this... if it is dual 2.
I just want i confirmation that it is currnetly running at half power and that the alpine amp would be the proper amp.

and we're just trying to tell you that you might not even need to switch amps...

just giving advice here bro... do what you want with it

Not as bad as 2ohm load on a 4ohm amp lol.
for the amp, no... for the sub, worse

if your sub is dual 2 ohm, then no! your kenwood amp will be the proper amp!if your sub is dual 4 ohm, thus 2 ohm final, the alpine is the proper amp!
ok well the sub specs say impendance 2 ohms. So is it dual 2 ohm? it also sayd dual voice coil. Also thanks for the replys guys i appreciate the help.

Take it out and look at the ohms on the speaker.
wow.. dude, just stop

the only way to tell for sure, is to take a DMM to each coil and do an ohm check... but more than likely (pretty much 99%), if it was on the box packing box, or sub itself, its a D2... in which case, you have the proper amp... and you just need to wire it properly

Even if he sent a generic kicker compvr link with a similar box??? Listen to yourself. I do agree with the dmm though. In that case he can just hit the speaker leads and check the ohms.

huh??? i'm talking about the packing box, straight from kicker... not the actual enclosure

on the back of your sub, you'll have 4 different terminals... 2 for each voice coil (1 + 1 - for each)... just wire them as the picture show... and the line coming out, goes to the amp... bridged to mono
