whine noise

i just installed a AQ2200d, ran a 4g wire, and now i have a alt whine noise in my speakers...how likely is it that its because the rca is on the same side as the power wire............dont get me wrong it was ran the same way with 8g forever without problems so just wondering if it could be the larger wire

i would start by upgrading that... can the 2200 run on 4 ga, yea... is it very healthy for it? no...

the whining noise that you hear... does it go up in pitch as your rpms increase?

yeah. theres faint noise when the engine is off (so low you can barely hear it)......when the trucks starts you can hear it whine an yeah as the alternator spins the noise fluctuates

yea, it's your rca's... sounds like you have EMF interference... you can run rca's on the same side... but they have to be properly shieled. and if your getting that tone... yours arent

yeah i had a feeling thats what it was. so if i run the power or rca on the other side of the truck i should be fine right?
