need THICK textured black paint for port

to soak up imperfections such as bondo'd screw holes, etc (hard to get it smooth when the port is already installed) so sanding is a *****.

i bought a can of DupliColor bed liner, but before i use it, is there anything thicker? i'd like something like that Vortex stuff Steve meade used on Chicken's wall in the Caddy, but thats expensive....

any ideas/pics of painted ports with textured stuff?

Maybe some rubberized undercoating spray?

It's thick, and has a slightly bumpy texture to it. Only downside of it, it taks a while to dry.

Fleckstone paint covers most imperfections as should the bed liner unless it's "that" bad....

You can pick up Stone textured paint at Ace Hardware and paint any color you want over top of it. I did this for my a-pillars until I can get around to covering them in matching headliner material.

its not really that bad, i just sprayed it with some Filler primer first so ill let that dry and then just hit it with the bed liner.

I used bedliner spray on an old box and it worked decent at covering imperfections. I still sanded a few high-visibility spots that I wanted perfect though.

It's like $6-7 at Walmart. Bought two cans for my false floor. Sprayed one section and saw it took forever to dry, and threw it in the garage, covered it with some fabric I has laying around.

I was thinking bout spraying some under my wheel wells cuz they look nasty as **** and I think they would look better along with deadening some noise from debris that gets shot up from the tires.
