Need the best SQ sub around 500watts

I sugguest you and her go to a few dealers, BB, CC, any anwhere that sells woofers and let *her* listen for what she likes.

Or if you're not willing to do that, two Decware DHM108Bs (10"s) will run you $200 new for a pair and have more SQ than you can shake a stick at!

I would grab a 12w6v2 and find a good condition kicker zr240 or zr360 and run it off of that. I personaly had 2 12w6v2's of 2 zr240's and they were amazing in the sq and how loud and low they could get in a small sealed box, now i have 2 12w6v2's of a kicker 1250.1 and there still amazing :0) best money you can spend

diamond audio D6....2 10" d6's hooked up to an alpine mrd-m1005 would sound phenominal....diamond is known for outstanding SQ no doubt.... and thats what im runnin so i can say first hand that it sounds amazing.

Hmm, well you didn't say anything about size but how about an Image Dynamics IDQ15v2-D4 with a Memphis MCD-500 amplifier. That would have pretty good SQ.

I just heard one of these at Tweeter in a small sealed box powered by a JL Audio 500/1 amp and I couldn't believe what I heard. This sounded great. It was $450 at the store. But woofersetc.com has it for $270. Seriously though this subwoofer had really tight bass and you have to hear it.

There are also some other options like the MBQuart 12" subwoofer, I can't remember the model, but those sounded great and the Boston Acoustics (new models) have great SQ.

new stereo integrity mag http://www.stereointegrity.com don't let the RMS fool you, you don't need near that to get amazing performance from one of these, heard one with only 250 watts and it wanged as much as i'd have a need for from a single 12, simply very efficient and very good sounding drivers

I agree on the mag, i tested it with 400 watts and it was very very nice,

 

the RL-p is also a great choice, or the IA Li

get a 10" se and match it with a nice lil amp.....se's 10's r only like 160....

a used IDMAX can be found for the middle 200s, and a PG Xenon x600.1 would power it very nicely.

There are tons of options. Some that I like: Avalanche of course, rl-i, rl-p, RE SE, magnum, brahma, IDMax, OZ Elite, Older ED O or A series.
