Still having this problem.

Door speakers - to head unit

Sub - to amp -head unit.

Like normal.

Audio installer in my area installed this perfectly it wasn't until I rehooked up my head unit have I had this problem.ground is good I'll post pic soon. Says ground isn't a Problem.

Only my left front Door speaker pops when head unit or car shuts off. SUB DOESNT POP WHEN TURNED OFF ONLY WHEN RURNED ON EVERY NOW AND THEN ONLY DOOR SPEAKERS which ARE HOOKED TO HU POWER ARE THE ONES THAT POP. When turned on however the sub does pop very lightly. When lights are turned on off or windows rolled up or down there's popping in all speakers. As f its transferring power to speakers.

I also have bad voltage drops I see on my battery gauge on my instrument panel. Usuly runs at halfway when running will drop as low as what looks like 10-12v when I have lights on and turn my heater on high or turn turn signal on. Mainly all at once.

So you have an array of problems.

Sounds like internal ground damage in the head unit.

Assuming the installer is telling the truth about modifying the external grounds not helping, sounds like someone hot swapped rcas while the headunit was on or hot swapped something or something came loose while on, etc..

Now, this issue is likely permanent.

If it's not, then the installer is not qualified to be an installer.

Run a temp wire from the headunit's grounding location all the way to the battery that powers the amp and see if it fixes it.

Your voltage problem is due to many possible things.

First thing- the battery needs to be fully charged on the proper charger before using anymore.

Your alternator, charge cable, fusing, aftermarket wiring, installation, etc can all be problematic.

Really need to narrow somethings down or else i could post a book about what it "could be" vs what it likely is.

I'll narrow things down are there any things I can do to do that?

Worst case scenario? Replace head unit?? I may have hot switched a cable at one point

Head unit is on factory ground ( assuming this, ground is connected to factory wire harness unless its routed from factory wiring harness to a ground spot from the previous owner)

So run a ground wire from my head unit to the negative of my battery that runs my amp? Using one battery foe whole vehicle.

Hmm.. run a wire from amp ground to batt using jumper cables and if that doesnt fix, run another wire from headunit to battery ground.

If that doesnt do it, perhaps one of the wires in the wire harness is either grounding out or literally wired into the wrong wire either at the harness or one of the speaker wires going from headunit to each speaker.

If all that checks out, swap headunit to see if it goes away.

Can't locate the ground to my head unit. Tried searching on Google to find it to no avail.

Would hooking front left speaker to say the front right or rear wires on my headunir cause this?
