Need T-Line Box Design

of all the TL orientations, i like this more than any other. but i also prefer woofer and port together. this is typically the preferred orientation for TL but less common than having the output away from the woofer due to complexity. the 8" TL i did was too small of a box to do this (despite being a huge box for a single 8). if i had more room, i would have done it. this is the kind i will build for my home theater (but i'll have a single 12" and use my 9' ceiling height to go up and back with a taper). I think the taper-style TL makes sense for home audio but for car audio subs we don't want to lose free area because we're sweeping so much air and velocity-effects compound the system.

note the JL Audio chamber-coupled port system.

Well I might try both lol. I like building boxes I just **** at designing them. You seem to have that part down pretty good lol. I love the idea of using something like this in home too. I might bug you again later for a design for my 2 channel setup. Thanks again bud!

Really interested in this, what kinda cheap sub for this.

this is the type i would build next. get the TL output to couple with the woofer output. also, this allows the chamber to transition to the TL better. same dimensions and nearly the same tuning. with this design, you want a woofer with an fs around 28Hz.

Should I alter this design for a woofer with a Fs of 33 or call it good. Sundown E10v2 BTW

alter the length as needed, just reduce the box width by 4.5" to take 18" of length out to increase tuning from 28Hz to 33Hz.
