need sub fast..here my requirments...

OK guys...i need a new 12'' sub fast...heres my requirments....no greater than 6'' mountin depth....something with xmax of 17 or more...and my amp is a soundstream xta360.2 so its around 360 watts at 4ohm bridged... i had an id12 v.3 d2 and it sounded nice but i want something a little louder and something that can be abused...my bro freakin blew mine... Thanks so much dont really wanna spend more than 200 but maybe willing too..

any sub you abuse will end up dying. some just sooner then later. look into soundsplinter, http://www.soundsplinter.com. the rl-i is probably right up your alley or even an rl-p

xmax doesnt matter? didnt know that...i just thought the more excursion=more spl...anyways...6'' dead on is the depth but i figure if i have to go bigger i can just stack rings on top of ring to get more depth...it is a fiberglass box afterall...i guess im just worried about the little amount of power i have...i want the biggest and best but it can only sound as good as my power..i have everything installed right...so i guess what sub should i get based on my amp?

More excursion doesnt= more SPL

Ever seen a Stroker ? they dont move a lot but they get frikin loud.

Rl-i is a good buy and would go great with the amount of watta you have to offer.

thanks for the info! What specs should i look for to tell me how loud they get? or what would relate to loudness? or quality? i originally was gonna get a soundsplinter..i wanted one with a signature cause there so beautiful...

well it looks like the rl-i only comes in 8'' and 10''....the rl-p is 12''and 15'' you think the rl-p would still be ok with my power?

exactly my point...i dont really wanna spend more money and get a bigger amp...what about a diamond audio d6? they look fairly descent...also could i be able to drive a IDMAX? ive heard people giving them 200 watts up to about 1500...? i dunno. I was pretty happy with my id12 v.3 just wished it got louder...

IDmax's are expensive.

You could get a better amp and a nice sub for the price of one of those.

get a jl 12w3.....its perfect 4 what u need.....its about 6 give or take

ps..if u ever wanted to get louder just double what your currently using and watch that 12w3 really do its thing
