Need sub advice

Guys I have a Tundra 2010 CrewMax with a fox acoustics box that will fit two 12" subs.

5 inches of mounting depth.

The maker of the box tells me that they will hold JL w1's...

My amp is a rockford mono 1500 tbd

Can someone recommend the best 12" shallow subs or ones that come within 5" depth that hit hard?

OP, kicker has a decent shallow mount, does it matter what brand?

I am not off topic. It makes sense to consider his answer when coming up with a recommendation. The only qualification that he listed other than being shallow is that they "hit hard." Hence asking if SPL was, in fact, what he cared about.

Also, mind your own business.

I would really like to have both SPL and SQ...

but with my box having room for 2 12" woofers with 5" of depth just looking for suggestions.. do i HAVE to go shallow?

I can spend 200 or a little more per sub if that helps

Yeah have done that...

SI BM MKIII looks awesome - doesn't seem like they are in stock though

Was wondering if anyone on here knows of good 12" subs with 5.5" or less depth that have 300-500rms

SI is working on the BM MKIV, according to their site. It does sound good. It may be a temptation for me when it comes out.

300-500RMS is not too tough a requirement. I think you'll find plenty that have that if you do a search. Also make sure to compare Xmax when you do your comparisons, because the more Xmax, the more air you can move, the louder you can get.

There have been other threads on this board, so don't feel like we're necessarily making you dig through every subwoofer on your own.
