Need SQ sub $150 budget

TC Epic. I like your thought on the SA sealed, but he's most likely going to be underwhelmed by its output. Either the TC Epic or Dayton HO would be a better fit. That or the SSA DCON/GCON would be smart choices

If you dont need alot of out put the kicker comp line before the walmart crap is very good for the money they just require 2x the box to perform and dont get very loud.

but them again what can you expect from an 150w sub.

they also work well infinite baffle

Don't know where you are in PA but I'm a little north of philly and have a V3 Stereo Integrity Magnum 15 i would let go of for $175 if you can pick it up. A little over your budget but well worth the extra $25. It's up on craigslist if you're interested.

Complete opposite end of PA lol.

The SA8 would not do to well in a sealed box and output would be pretty bad and lacking low end. It does however model very well in a ported box .4 cubes tuned to 33 hz. The IDQ 10v.3 is a great sq sub and does great ported 1.3 cubes tuned 32-36 or sealed a little out of price range but it is one of the best subs I have heard and I have owned a good amount over the last 8 years or so. 10W3v3 is a solid sub as well and gets surprisingly loud and clean in a ported box tuned low. There are many out there on craigslist I am sure. I have and SA12 that sounds pretty darn good and gets plenty loud the SA10 in a ported box tuned around 33-35 would be tuff to beat for the price. I am not a fan of the SA's sealed though.

Lookin to order soon. Right now TC Sounds epic 12 is in the lead... He definitely has the room in his car to get a big *** ported box, but since he doesnt listen to many songs with low bass i figured sealed would be better than ported.

Have a reputable designer build him a box if you're going ported, If you're going sealed then it's not going to make much of a difference.

A sub that does well sealed that is overlooked a lot is the Polk MM. I've got a 15" in 1.9^3 sealed and it's amazing! The output in that small of a sealed box really surprised me.

I planned on building it myself
