My ml has a 115a alternator. Guess I'll have to stick to a less setup, as the 1200.1 draws about 15X amps, and I'm guessing that would cause issues. Still open to suggestions for a setup.

MB's have good batteries in them. Is yours in the back?

No, but it is in a nearly inaccessible location under the hood. I just had it replaced with a brand new MB battery though.

How about this combo: 1 pg 15 ti pushed by a hifonics zx6000 (1x600 watts rms into 4 ohms)?

Any thoughts/reccomendations?

The pg ti's are single coil 4's (most dual coils are sold out), so they can't be wired for a 2 ohm load individually, so it would be irrelevant if I were to run that sub. (If I butcher this stuff, I apologize)

As for the 2 12's, it's like I said, I'm just bouncing ideas around.

As a response to a previous post up there, the Tantrum 1200.1 draws slightly more than 80 amps. I have mine fused at 100 at the distro block, never blown a fuse.

But you're right in thinking that slightly less power will be a lot less taxing on the electrical system.

What do you guys thing about the Rockford Punch series 2. Do these subs have good sound quality? Are they any good or are they just low level subs?
