Ok currently i am running a idmax 12 off a sundown 1500d@2 ohm in my 2003 ford taurus. 2.5@35hz. I want to go big but with a single sub. What i have in mind is the new hdc3 18 when it comes out. now my measurements i took from the car give me a useable 11.6 cu ft of space. i want to go 7 cubes at 40hz. Question i have is will the box be too big to get the bass into the cabin. I would like to go with the sub up and the port firing through the rear deck if possible. the space i have is this. 38"w, 16.5" high and 32" in depth which if my math is right is 11.6cu ft. Can this be done? Also im on the look for some kik butt components but my taurus uses 4x6's front and rear. if im gonna fire the port through the deck then i wont be using the rear fill so some kik butt front 4x6's and some stand alone kik butt tweeters. was looking at the cadence cvl-10 http://www.cadencestore.com/ProductCart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=93&idproduct=362

Make sure you can get a box that big into the car, unless building in the trunk.

If your rear seats fold down I'd fire into the cabin...

gonna try and build the box in the trunk. rear seats do fold down but i want them to stay up.

I'm pretty sure you can get 6.5s into those 4x6 stock locations. Get a decent set of components, don't get 4x6 coaxials and tweeters, you'll be highly disappointed. You need at least 6.5s to get decent midbass. Have you taken your door panels off yet? Pics!

yeah the 6.5's bolt rightin, right now ive got some blaupunkt velocities 6.5's in the front but i want more. something that really has clear highs. for wheatevr set i get im gonna build some pods for them to go in but i just want to know what to get. was looking at some cadence stuff but is ther anything as god for cheaper? know the infinitiy's used to be good but i dont know about now.
