Well, since I opened up the door panel of my 88 civic and saw the stock speakers in there with no surround whatsoever, I figured I should invest a little money into some temporary replacement speakers so I can actually have some kind of midbass.

Post what you got, or PM me...I don't really care. Looking to keep this as cheap as possibe without being complete crap. Shallow mounting depth is a plus.

How deep are they? They look a little too deep for my doors...

I have a pair of Cerwin Vega 6.5's. They'll fit in the door of that civic as they aren't deep at all. I'll do $30 shipped on the pair! They work 100% and they don't look the best but hey, they'll get the job done! LMK if you want model number and pics.
