Need some advices

Hello, I dont know a lot of things about car audio and I need some advices because I heard a lot of things that Im not sure of.

First, I have a honda civic 2000 with the original factory sound kit.

My friend gave me his 10'' sub, a Clarion PX1109PTR4 2 OHMS 300W (600W max power). I'm planning to buy a Sony CDX-GT630UI head-unit (17W RMS, 52W peak x 4 ch.).

I don't want to change my speakers yet and I would like to know what medium quality amplifier would do the job. I read that you could only plug a sub on a 2 ch amp, and that you could plug 2 speakers and 1 sub on a 4 ch.

My question is : What is the best between a 2 or 4 ch. ? ( I am listening to rock music in majority so I don't need to have max bass from the sub.).

Thank you very much for your answers!

i have used pioneers for the most part they make some good decks.just do some research befor u go ahead and buy some cheap stuff and waste your money. i learned early on to buy things only 1 time. u can buy some cheap stuff and it will brake on u and then u will have to buy again and again if you buy crap. as far as sub amp think about 6 months down the road u sure that single 10 will be enough if so just get a nice 2 channel about and call it a day.

Ok thx man, I will probably buy the pioneer DEHP4100UB, it has everything I need for a reasonable price. And for the 2ch amp, will I be able to plug my front speakers+sub or only the sub?

Thanks
