need serious help

Have you gotten a wiring harness? Those help alot. Check walmart for a cheap one or look around online for one spacific to your car.

What type of car is it?

Wiring harnesses remove any of the tough work related to this. All you need to know is your type of car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif they take care of the rest. Plug and pray, hehe.

its a 93 camaro ok they sent me some install kit thing and in the instructions they told me to cut the wires and fuse em together with the old ones then plug that in... but i cut the cords now i dont know what cords are what.. i already cut them so i dont know what to do

Here is a long shot:

factory H/Us sometimes have the wire labels imprinted on the back of the hu... stamped in the metal or in the plastic. look CLOSELY for that.

nope no lables..... ok where the old radio had the wired plug into the back i took that thing out and then it told me to cut the wires so i could fuse them together witht the new ones..sry dont really know how to explain it

If you still have the factory plug, I'd reattach it and use an adapting harness.

If you don't, here's the most likely wire colors for a 93 Camaro:

constant power: orange

accessory power: yellow

ground: black or black/white

Left front speaker: tan (+) and gray (-)

Right front speaker: light green (+) and dark green (-)

Left rear speaker: brown (+) and yellow (-)

Right rear speaker: dark blue (+) and light blue (-)

Note that you'll have at least two yellow wires; you'll need to use a multimeter to tell which is which. Also you may have extra green and gray wires for illumination; a multimeter will help you tell them from the speaker wires.

more like anywhere from $5 bucks to whatever...

a $5-$7 one from radioshack would be enough for simple uses...

I bought a decent one for $30.

A more expensive one will have more features & the specifications would be able to handle a variety of different circuits & devices. It also will have a less margin of error.

my guys always think I'm some crazy geek whenever I pull out my multimeter when I have the system on with the car off for long periods of time (because I'm measuring voltage to make sure I don't kill the battery...which happened a lot with my old battery)
