Im not really educated on what works best for a second battery in the back, so here are some facts to help find me a good batt..

I have a hifonics 1606d putting out ~ 1000w rms

and my lights dim on the heavy hits.

I never listen to music with the car off.

I am hoping to have the second battery work in conjunction with the main battery. ( dont want to have to charge the second battery with a charger..)

I cant spend over 160.00..

I'm tempted to sell you my hc1400, but I dunno since you don't have much money to work with. if interested PM me and we may be able to work something out.

And I think the kinetik hc1400 or stinger spv70 would fit your needs

HC800 will work good for 1000w?
also which would be better overall? Stinger SPV35 or HC800? Or are they pretty much the same?
I was trying to stay inside your budget more than anything. The HC800 should be fine for most 1000W systems. You have to take the ratings with some grain of salt. They rated them for 800W, but to be honest, not all 800W systems are alike, so there is some leeway there.

As for the Stinger vs Kinetik debate, I think that Stinger's SP series is a little above the Kinetik line, but the SPV line is a little below the Kinetik line. I would put Kinetik right between the two. I think you will find the pricing is in line with that as well.

Alright well i went down to the local BatteriesPlus shop and picked up a nice battery for a kick *** price! $120.00

That looks pretty good. It looks similar to the Kinetik HC1200. $120 is a very good price too. Let us know how it performs. Also, what is the actual brand name of that thing? Looks like it is German or something.

Oh and BTW, Imageshack BLOWS! I hate having to click links and dodge popups //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Well its not dark but as of right now i see ZERO dimming! Its a WERKER brand and my voltage doesn't drop below 13.8 on the hardest hitting bass.

Ill see how my lights look, im pretty sure i wont see any dimming!

Also they had a nice 35ah 500CCA dry cell for 89.99!! but i had to make sure i wouldn't get any dimming so i bought the bigger one.

if i didnt use imageshack id have a 2000x2000 image..

Uh dude, you ever hear of Photoshop? Even easier, Photobucket allows for auto resizing at upload.

What were your voltages before the battery? How much voltage did you gain?
