need radio install help for 2005 mustang

a friend needs me to swap an alpine out of her 2005 mustang and put the stock one back in.

do i need to pop the center piece out and unscrew the radio,remove and screw back in the stock one?

and why on earth would someone want a stock over an alpine?

no, the radio.she's trading it in.wants the stock radio put back in.

Remove the small rectangular shifter

lever trim panel if equipped. (Figure A)

Remove (2) Phillips screws from under

the center armrest at the back of the

shifter trim panel (including cup

holders). (Figure B)

4 Unclip and remove panel. (Figure B)

Unclip and remove the (2) center stack

trim panels from the left and right side

of the radio and climate controls.

(Figure C)

Remove (6) 9/32” screws from center

trim panel surrounding the radio and

climate controls then unclip and remove

panel. (Figure D)

Remove (4) 9/32” screws from the radio

to remove. (Figure E)

If it's like my 04, just take off the center peice, goes from the air vents at the top to the cig lighter at the bottom, take off the bolts, and slides right off. Take off any wireing harness, and just slap the stock one back in.
